ICL is turning out to be a BCCI killer....
Expand
With big names like Brian Lara joining the party, ICL has become a serious threat to BCCI. BCCI has enjoyed monopoly all these days. The result of its monopolist operations was a systematic rigid system which created a suffocating atmosphere for young cricketers. Many player were showed exit gates for their first failure itself and some players as Sehwag still enjoy support from Top brass.
If ICL can create an healthy atmosphere for young cricketers, the its really a good news. The major hurdle in front of ICL would be to attract fresh talent. As all players joining ICL may have to give up hope of joining BCCI team, its hard decision for them. Young cricketers must realize this new avenue's real potential and join it. Joining India XI is a dream for every young boy, hardly few realize it. And hardly few manage to be in the side for longer period. Instead of hoping for such an impossible dream ICL appears better choice. Definitely its too early to comment on a parallel system to BCCI but every big journey starts with a single step. Lets hope for the best.
